Zeiss’s Nano Prime lenses are absolute powerhouses in both optical render and build quality. All extremely small with mechanics built to survive some serious trauma, with consistent gear placements and solid, tight tolerance e-mounts with full data pass-through, they’re built to easily cope with the rigors of any serious production- whether you’re on a stage or out in the cold of winter.
Optically, they’re a brilliant pair to Zeiss’ now-familiar Supreme primes, which is to say a gentle, careful sharpness. High resolving power with high contrast through the frame, with very little loss during flaring. Well-corrected geometric distortion and extremely low CA leads to few distractions in the image, with a soft and flattering focus rolloff and stuning bokeh render with an incredible separation. Flares are a gentle wash of veiling glare with small artifacts.
They open to a fast T/1.5 and absolutely hold up wide open, while the smart mounts communicate full data passthrough if you’re on a virtual stage or capturing data for post-heavy workflows.
